Lake Murray Young Life is hosting the third annual Young Life Open sponsored by Timmons Contracting on Monday, October 27 at Timberlake Country Club. Young Life is a non-denominational Christian outreach ministry that involves high school students from Irmo, Spring Hill, and Chapin High Schools. Fifteen students from the University of South Carolina volunteer their time to develop relationships on their turf and in their culture to build bridges of authentic friendship.Young Life leaders log many hours with kids - where they are, as they are. They listen to their stories because they genuinely care about them. Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning, and purpose. In many cases, this is the first step of a lifelong journey with Christ.We are asking local businesses to join our efforts by partnering with us through sponsorship of the Timmons Contracting Open. We hope that doing so will benefit your business from a marketing and advertising standpoint, as well as demonstrate that your business fully supports the positive development of youth in the Lake Murray community.This year, our goal is $35,000! This will allow us to meet and serve the next kid in the Lake Murray area. Please take a few minutes to review our sponsorship packages and other ways you can participate in making this year's edition of the Timmons Contracting Open a success.
